Active school administrator nominations open for TRS-Care Retirees Advisory Committee

The Teacher Retirement System (TRS) Board of Trustees will appoint one active school administrator to the TRS-Care Retirees Advisory Committee (RAC) at its December 2024 Board meeting. The RAC is an advisory committee for TRS-Care health benefits for Texas eligible public school retirees and their families. The Texas Insurance Code requires the RAC to have seven members with staggered four-year terms. The RAC meets twice a year in Austin and is responsible for holding public meetings on retiree group coverage, recommending minimum standards and plan features, and recommending changes to rules and legislation impacting TRS-Care.
If you are interested in applying for service, please send a cover letter (or letter of recommendation) and your resume to the address or email below. The letter must state that the nomination is for the vacant RAC position and include a summary of the nominee’s qualifications. Please send no later than Nov. 4.
